Chimaerus [ kigh-MARE-us] is an adventurer-oriented vessel that is made up of three independent ships:
- Leaena (the Lion): the main body of the ship, holding the living quarters, medical, and FTL systems.
- Krios (the Ram): a boxy freighter that is little more than a long hold with a small cabin and flight deck on top.
- Drakon (the Dragon): an armored drop ship or sturdy passenger shuttle.
The purpose of Chimaerus is to provide a mobile base of operations for a group of heroes or mercenaries, but one that can split up when needed to accomplish more. There are half a dozen cabins on board, plus ten capsule-bunks for additional crew, marines, or passengers; and a couple more beds on the freighter and in the brig if needed.

A "Chimaerus" miniature set consists of one Leaena primary hull, one Krios freighter, and one Drakon combat shuttle,
which can be joined together or separated at will.
A pair of black 1-inch stands are included with each Chimaerus set since the Drakon do not use stands.
