Lochlyn IX is a combination research outpost, medical facility, and defense platform with both civilian and military duties. The habitable areas of the station are divided into sections connected by a transit tube system. Due to the rock's rotation "down" is always away from the core (out into space) and the station is at zero G along the axis of rotation. Taking advantage of the low G along the axis of rotation are a large rectangular hangar at one pole and an octagonal cargo bay on the other.
Because of its size it takes two 24x36 inch posters (four sides) to map out the complete facility, so this is a two poster set (two different posters). The front and back of both posters are displayed above. All of my maps are at 1 inch = 5 feet scale with a 1 inch grid built into the floor.
A round 1-inch diameter stand is included with the miniature. This one has a shorter-than-usual peg to better balance the model.
Because the model is hollow, a pair of tiny plugs are provided to cover the drain holes. The plugs can be used as is or trimmed flat. Alternatively, the drain holes can be used as alternate flight stand point for additional orientations.
